Museums
Remember that most of the museums around Italy are closed on Mondays

Ancient Rome

Safety
Rome is a safe city. There isn't much crime because all the police and Carabinieri are here to protect politicians, but there are still pickpockets in crowded places. Be particularly careful at Trevi Fountain, and on public transportation.

Sightseeing
Best way to sightseeing: it is to rent a car with driver and a tour guide. You'll see more in a comfortable way. You'll need 2 half days to see the highlights!

Synagogue
the synagogue can be visited every day except on Saturdays, but you can’t take pictures inside

Vatican State
the Vatican is quite conservative regarding clothes, so remember to cover your upper shoulders, don't wear shorts or short skirts.

Water
The water coming out of the little fountains around the city is safe to drink! The water is brought here from the mountain springs just outside Rome.
